I pre-ordred from EB and mine has said 'processing' for the past couple of days..how long has your said open. Have you tried calling and getting a definition.

I ordered yesterday (saturday) afternoon.
Hmm, mine went from 'placed' to 'open'.
As long as it says 'shipped' tomorrow, I don't really give a damn.

Every time I tried to call EB today I go a busy signal, so I shot them an e-mail. Here is the reply they sent me;

Sounds good..so it goes to open then back to processing and shipping..hmm mine still says processing -- before it said that it was awaiting product -- I guess if it says shipped tomorrow then all is well -- if not CompUSA...

I preordered Civ3 from EB also, but I am going to the store to pick it up!!! They are going to hold it for me for 24 hours!!!
Um, mine went from processing to 'hold' and they sent me a mail to verify credit card thingie (the trick is, I ordered on colleague's German card on a Hungarian (really it is) billing address because they for some reason accept Gabonese credit cards but have no option for Hungarian ones...
I asked them two times in the mail whether that was verification enough but they keep sending those boilerplate answers and it is still on 'hold'. I am getting really nervous. I know the difference could at most be a day or two but i want to dent my teeth into the tin box ASAP.

Open means that they checked your Credit situation and your location and that they are waiting that the item ships to them

edit: nassau is still some 100 mi away. good that they did not send it to buffalo, ny or canada
