I have absolutely no idea who of them is better for USA. But Clinton is definitely much-much worse for the world. She's one of the war hawks herself, and she has a lot of war hawks in her team. Also, her involvement as a secretary of the state was completely disastrous for the world.

Despite Hillary Clinton's reputation as a liberal, the record suggests her presidency would push America toward a more militaristic approach to the Middle East.

From Haiti to Syria, the Democratic candidate’s long record suggests she’s looking forward to being a war president on day one.

    I especially like this one.
Exclusive: Focusing on domestic issues, Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech sidestepped the deep concerns anti-war Democrats have about her hawkish foreign policy, which is already taking shape in the shadows, reports Gareth Porter. By Gareth Porter As Hillary Clinton begins her final charge f

The clear signals of Clinton’s readiness to go to war appears to be aimed at influencing the course of the war in Syria as well as U.S. policy over the remaining six months of the Obama administration. (She also may be hoping to corral the votes of Republican neoconservatives concerned about Donald Trump’s “America First” foreign policy.)

Last month, the think tank run by Michele Flournoy, the former Defense Department official considered to be most likely to be Clinton’s choice to be Secretary of Defense, explicitly called for “limited military strikes” against the Assad regime.

And earlier this month Leon Panetta, former Defense Secretary and CIA Director, who has been advising candidate Clinton, declared in an interview that the next president would have to increase the number of Special Forces and carry out air strikes to help “moderate” groups against President Bashal al-Assad. (When Panetta gave a belligerent speech at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night, he was interrupted by chants from the delegates on the floor of “no more war!”
Given that Syria is our war ally, i guess it's safe to say that Hillary and/or her team wants to start an active phase of World War 3. And i'm not a big fan of WW3.

    • Clinton has since redacted from those positions. Her time as Secretary of State was disastrous? For who? Your country? Maybe your country ought not to start wars everywhere, including invading Ukraine. The same sort of accusation you accuse Hillary of doing, is something your country is heavily guilty in. If anyone could start WW3, it is Vladimir Putin.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

      • Putin may start another major war to provide a distraction. 18 months of declines in Russia's economy.

She confirmed it in the very speech you were advertising so fiercely. Did you even read it?

Don't play an ignorant fool (then again, maybe you don't even need to play it).

Anyway, it's Lybia, Syria, Iraq. It's all listed in the articles i quoted. Ukraine too, at least partially - all their problems started when your "pro-EU" coup succeeded in Ukraine. And of course EU, especially Germany and France, they hear "booms" on a constant basis, and it didn't happen before Hillary pushed invasions into Lybia and Syria.

Actually, the only country that feels much better is ISIS.

Ok, let's say we kinda invaded Ukraine in responce to your coup, so fine, let's split guilt -50% / -50%. And we helped Syria, so it's about +25% for us (it was falling apart, and now situation has a positive trend). But at the same time you also invaded and ruined Libya (-100%), Iraq is going worse (-25%), Afghanistan isn't any better under your occupation (-15%), and Syria is almost ruined (-50%) by you.

So the totals are: -25% for Russia and -240% for NATO. Wow, we beat you 9 to 1. GG well played.

Don't think so about a war. But it seems that our government is finally forced to do some economic reforms, which is a good thing in my book.

Where did you come up with those percentages? Awesomely made up... Like most of this argument. Sometimes I wonder if I reading press statements from the Russian government here.

By the way, please don't talk about Afghanistan. That is the last thing Russia should be talking about, considering it was you who destroyed the country in the first place.

Such as...? What reforms? Your economy is dependent on oil prices (in the toilet) and is now in a major free fall.

Huh? You created Taliban, yeah, the one that you're fighting for the last 10 years. If you didn't do it out of spite so to make things worse for USSR, Afghanistan wouldn't have had all these problems for the last 35+ years. And it's you who made it into a number one drug producer in the world. I understand that your CIA wants to make some money on drugs, but this is inhumane.

It's not exactly in a "free fall", but that's why Kremlin will be forced to do economic reforms. And i have no idea why you mention it again and again in a topic about USA presidential election.

                  • Oil is at 40 and likely to head lower as Canadian oil which was shut down during the massive forest fire comes back online, oil from Nigeria shut down after a pipeline attack comes back online, Lybia oil comes back online, and Iran is still trying to boost exports. Worse for Russia US Shale oil has gotten extremely cheap to produce as there have been huge leaps in efficiency most are now profitable at $30 and the best are profitable at just $10. So that supply isn't going away even if it is down a bit from the highs.

Putin is going to have to do a lot more economic reforms than he is comfortable with if he wants to get the Russian economy moving again and he will have to do it while under sanctions and with capital markets closed to him.

I actually agree with you... Which feels weird. Russia has infrastructure that is completely falling apart. And we thought we had infrastructure issues here in the US.

Don't give Trump any ideas. He might declare Trump tower a church so he can completely get out of paying taxes.

                          • Trump apparently went as a kid. A few years ago he gave his old church 10k when they needed some repairs (or something).

Only a couple of very old members remember him. Probably the last time he attended that church was when he was a teenager.
