Obama's been following the lead of Bush-Clinton-Bush, I'm not sure what his father thought about all that but I doubt he's in their camp
We dont?
Didn't Obama attack Libya and Syria and a couple other countries? Which countries have done no wrong after claiming the US was gonna invade?
By your logic Reagan was a socialist. I don't think bombing ISIS clears Obama of being a Marxist. Even the Marxists hate ISIS. And even Marxists will make a deal with capitalists, as Mao so eloquently put it.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

To rephrase my question. I have a basic understanding of different Marxist interpretations of international politics. Lenin, Luxemburg, dependency school, World system theory and so forth. What I do not understand is how view (descriptive or analytical theories) actually this translates into the actual policies of the Obama administration in international politics (a normative theory based on a Marxist understanding of the world that underpins Obamas decisions in international politics).

It doesn't.
Kid's talking about the Invisible Obama That Only Republicans Can See, instead of the one we actually got stuck with - a spineless centrist, much like Mrs. Clinton, with insufficient fight in him against the outrages of the right. It's so universal a mass delusion since he took office -as opposed to the progressive messiah his supporters believed in, then were very disappointed by the reality- on the part of even conservatives usually worth listening to on other subjects, that I merely wince and turn away in annoyance and do not bother to engage the error.
If reality has failed to teach them, I cannot, either.
