    There's another one

The latest edition of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo was revealed on press stands across France on Wednesday.

Notice the words: they have the guns but we have the champagne and it's a guy drinking champagne full of bullet holes, so the champagne flows away.

    Let us analyze it semantically.

I won't stand on the fact that it could be a reference to the boeheme bourgeois, it can be about everyone.

So all the champagne in the world don't mean anything if you don't have peace.

And you need to have peace all over.
    It's ingenious

They don't seem to give a **** about that.
To them any kind of authority is reprehensible.

The map of Europe looks over half empty. And France would be empty but for a local blasphemy law in Alsace.

                      I'd say half.
More than that if you see it based on population

Of course. It is brilliant. One would almost say it is british rather than french.

I found french humour to be much more poignant, brutal, subversive and "unholy"
british to be smart, cynical and sarcastic
