I'm getting tired of the same game in a slightly different flavor. Is this game really actually different from the stream of GTA/Sleeping Dogs/Mafia II/LA Noire/Assassin's Creed/Red Dead Redemption? The setting may change but the game is always the same.

Says the guy that posts a thread about one of the seemingly endless "Age of" games...

            ACK!

GTA and Assassin's Creed are pretty different. But actually what this is is a cross between Deus Ex and Assassin's Creed.

They need to make another goddamn open world cowboy game. **** that game was good.

                      Endless? The series is done.

In the late 90's and early 2000's, RTS games in the style of Warcraft/Starcraft/Age of Empires/Command & Conquer were as ubiquitous as the GTA-style open worlds or Call of Duty-style FPS are today... Now, aside from Starcraft II, those 'gather resources, build, and conquer' RTS games join realistic flight simulators as a virtually dead genre.

                      No. They're not.

Whether you're Niko Bellic, Cole Phelps*, Vito Scaletta, John Marston, Wei Shen, or Ezio Auditore, what will you be doing?

                      1) Stealthily following a lot of people. You can't let them see you so keep a certain distance away and use the same blending-in the background/crowds mechanic.
                      2) Chasing bad guys through crowded streets, whether in cars, on foot, or on horseback about 57 times before the game is done; all while your partner is chatting away. He does that every time you travel together.
                      3) Being pursued several dozen times through crowded streets by a small horde of bad guys who are eager to expend the equivalent of the entire ammunition supply of the British Army.
                      4) Being pursued several dozen times through crowded streets by a small horde of law enforcement (with a wanted level system) who you can get away from if you out-run them (though you can also change your car's paint, character's clothing, etc.)
                      5) Do a bunch of races, whether on foot, car, horseback, or strange early 20th century chariot
                      6) Be every minor NPC's *****boy/fetcher/deliveryboy
                      7) Collect all of some random feathers, boxes, statues, shrines, flowers, or whatever else is scattered randomly and hidden throughout the world
                      8) Have your gameplay interrupted every 45 seconds by a non-interactive cut-scene
                      9) Engage in constant awkward 3rd person cover shooter combat that is never as seamless as Gears of War's.
                      10) Buy/expand houses, apartments, and your wardrobe. So many clothes...

                      That's just 10.

*okay LA Noire was actually creative with the interrogation and investigation aspects and it didn't have any races.

                            Interesting comparison video:

                            GTA IV - Watch_Dogs
                            on PC

Ubisoft seemed to skimp on a lot of little things.
