    Does the newest GOG version still suffer from the 100% cpu useage problem?

    Anyone buy the latest version of SMAX from GOG. does it still have the problem of using 100% of the CPU all of the time?

    When I run both the GOG and non-GOG versions of the game, Task Manager shows 13% CPU utilization. This is on a Windows 7 system with an Intel i7 quad core processor, running at 3.2 GHz. So, it seems that the GOG version makes no change to CPU use.

      Yeah I figured it wouldn't be any different, I run SMAX under DOSbox so I can control the CPU usage on my old Compaq EVO 500. Guess I will just have to keep doing that.
