    "Victory" in Libya

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/13/ma...pagewanted=all

Tribal militias, atrocities.*At least we meant well, right? That makes it all better.

Edit: can we get a count of all the people who thought this war was a good idea? Do they still think so, I wonder? Is there any reason to?

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

I've really got to wonder if this kind of reply is a normal or expected response. The supporters of this war were humanitarians. Where is that humanity now?

So the question you rae actually asking is: "How is Israel going to be negatively impacted from this."

For a man who isn't obsessed with Israel you sure do bring it up a lot. Projection much?

No. The question is the same as it was at the start of the conflict: What purpose was served by it?

Otherwise, being a US citizen you could ask that question quite a few times since the Korean war.

I don't spend effort on lost cases.

Besides, I was opposed to our interference in the Lybian conflict that was nothing more than a tribal war.

If only your council had been heard before NATO launched the attack.

Yeah, right before the attack I stood by the seaside and heard you screaming from afar. Unfortunately your cry didn't reach Brussels.
