I don't honestly need the food though. A single man with no dependents can live quite well off $7000 in a year.
That's ~$580/month. I pay $320/month rent utilities and cable internet included. That leaves me with $260/month to spend on food and all amenities, which is more than enough.
I am pretty content, actually. Only have what makes you reasonably happy. Anything else is excess.

Jist thinking about gambling increases my heart rate and breathing. Im also a speed and adrenaline fanatic. The rush just isnt like anything else. Snowboaring, gambling, speed, coffee, advesarial confrontation.

To be clear, I'm not denying the existence of gambling addictions and I'm not trying to downplay the harm it causes people. I know it is a real thing, I just find it hard to understand why it happens. I sympathize.
