Summary: Alzheimer's is caused, in part, by buildup of some protein in the brain. Another substance in the brain clears out that protein, but not in Alzheimer's patients. Administering a cancer drug blocks some receptor or other to increase production of the protein-clearing dingus, with dramatic results within three days...in mice. Human testing hopefully to follow. Yay! Maybe!

The only disease worse than Alzheimer's (not including a bunch of others I'm not going to bother listing here) is the one where you lose the ability to fall asleep, start hallucinating, and die batshit insane several months later.
