To clarify, I am playing Ages of Empire II The Conquerors, CTP,Rogue Spear series to name a few. The above post is so I can play BTS on same machine as these older games.
Thanks!

I am getting an older PC to run some older favorites, which wont run on WIN7 or for various other reasons.
My question is, 512 RAM is minimum, will 1 GIG RAM run a larger than normal map size ok?
The processor, if I find a processor that has a 1.3 GIG Processor, will that run it?
Im running on my Laptop and current desktop but for RAM Im set up with 3.5 GIGS and for processor, one is a "duo Core" and other is a DUAL CORE, what is a minimum processor speed I can get away with?...I do lots of Custom Games, my own scenario types. big maps, long games. want to make sure I can play late games.
Thanks for any input

Did anyone have Ryan Dunn From Jackass FAME? He died in a fiery car crash speeding after being in a bar. And to think, everyone thought he would die doing something stupid-rah

I ran BtS on my old laptop, which was about as slow as I'd want to run Civ, but with things turned down a bit more it might be doable with less.
That laptop was:
C2D 1.67GHz
2GB RAM
Intel integrated gfx
Minimum processor speed will be determined by core number. With 2 cores, 1.3GHz CPU should be sufficient to play. To play quickly, especially in the late game? Not really. I recall 30-60sec waits between turns on that laptop once I hit the industrial era on a large map.
How much available RAM does this system have exactly? How much is the OS and other programs taking up when you start BtS? 512MB quickly turns into running the game by page file on XP, I think, which must be a horrid experience.
Yes 1 gb ram in more preferred.
