It's the end of an era: the Firaxis site for SMAC is no longer available:

Fortunately, it's still on internet archive, but this is the end of an era.
What do I care about your suffering? Pain, even agony, is no more than information before the senses, data fed to the computer of the mind. The lesson is simple: you have received the information, now act on it. Take control of the input and you shall become master of the output.
Wow I see civ III is now a classic. Wonder, if a sequel is in the air for SMAC? One can only hope. I have long ago lost my SMAC, but still have the book Chris wrote.
