At this point, it is a baby clone of this forum. Since WePlayCiv is a new site, there is an opportunity to shape it.
Solver, who was one of the moderators of this forum is one of the 3 founders of WePlayCiv.
If anyone has any ideas for improvement, please go there and post a suggestion. It only took me a day to get Solver to create a MP forum.
Why would we leave Poly for a polyclone?

You're not a player here, so in no way am I suggesting that you leave 'poly.
I'm not suggesting any player leave. Just add another bookmark. It helps to have a wider pool of potential players to get a game going.
And without starting rumors, I will note that this forum has lost one of its two moderators and the other moderator of this forum is active at WePlayCiv.
Always best to have a fallback position if the worst happens.
Oh, did I mention that at this point, 'poly SMAC has only one active CMN (me), while WePlayCiv has two (me and Darsnan)?
If something happens to me, maybe the players here would like to know they can find Darsnan at WePlayCiv.
And if I could figure out anything that would make SMAC multiplaying more fun, maybe I can play the two forums off each other and get that something for my players!
