Let's clear up the Hemisphere/Continent question.
The map is in 4 distinct hemiphers/quadrants. A Top left, Top right, Bottom left and Bottom right.
Each hemisphere or quadrant has at least ONE continent within it.
You must have complete cultural control of at least one hemisphere/quadrant, but not more than two. I know there are many ways this can be interprated (sp?) - I have purposely left this vague to allow individual playing styles. In effect - you must have complete cultural control of the landmasses in one of the hemispheres/quadrants.
