Poly Fantasy Baseball Weekly League DRAFT

Starting Monday we'll go with a 24 hr time limit and we'll drop it to 12 hr if needed... But we can start now with no time limit this weekend. People picking 1,2, 11, 12 do not get 48 hrs to pick, both picks have a 24 hr time limit. If you pick 2 or 11 you will get a total of 24 hrs for both picks, so if you pick fast the first one you will have the remainder of that 24 hrs for the next pick.

If you dont pick and dont leave lists with people who can post your picks without making us wait 24+ hrs you will get a BAPAY (first 2 rounds excluded) - thats "Best Available Player at Yahoo" - based on your positional needs. We wont BAPAY you a 2nd 1st baseman when other positions need to be filled.

Leave lists of players you want (2-5) with someone who is around if you cant be here to make your pick. Send your list to someone who picked before you so that you will have another pick before they have a chance to pick. No complaints if they take someone on your list, they're doin you a favor and that favor does not preclude them from making their own picks even if you wanted the same player. Hint, make your own sleeper picks so you dont tip off others to more hidden talents you see in the draft.

Though I would have easily taken Miguel Cabrera over Howard (Cabrera was a close 2nd pick to Reyes for me).

Yeah, Howard isn't really that great in this league. Not that Cabrera is either - I'd not take either at that point frankly - but Howard's OBP (.335 last year!) hurts him a lot.

Recall that Cabrera had an awesome 2nd half last season, even though he started out really slow. And he's a 3B.
