    That's not how it works, HF. You have to start the game first before it can be considered a win for you, and a loss (forfeit) for them. Instead, I'll drop them both to the Alternate list, and everyone will move up accordingly.

    hey I am kind of a wargame slut so I will try anything. I tried to look for your post and when I clicked on your name then clicked tos show me your posts it only showed 2; this one and and explanation for installing ctp on windows 7. Thanks for that by the way, it is appreciated. but I would like to try whatever slightly modified version you wish. or at least 99%. the only thing I don't want to play is a basic 1 settler game; otherwise, I'm in. i dont have your email but can ask around and most guys have mine. please email me about the slightly modified game you want to play.     The folder I'm sharing with you contains the gamedata folder you need. (If you need to switch between regular civ and this version let me know, I can make it pretty easy.
    The folder will also contain a tech tree graphic.

    I changed the advances to be the same as ff1.7 and needed to add 3 more in as you had more, but i got some slic error at line 604.. looking at it i cant see a problem. please we need someone to look at the code to fix it.

    Ive attached the 2 files the disceminate.slc and the advances .txt file.. not sure why its not working...

    Great! Are you (or Ken) up for a challenge? :throws down glove: If so, do you have any interest in playing in the Freedom Forever FF mod? These FF mod guys, that made FF, whooped me good in a multiplayer game using the mod, so I'm and want to on their mod-writing FF'ing skulls! Can you help me practice and get better at it? If not, a standard ctp1 game would be good, too

    I guess I'm back, I fell off into space after my computer stopped running the CTP. I am back but I'm playing a slightly rebalanced version of the original CTP. I'd play something close to the original if we could get the community together long enough to make an apolyton official patch. Not a mod. No new units, govs, etc. Just a couple slight fixes to governments and a couple units. My main sticking point playing the original is that Theocracy's early placement in the tech tree makes both monarchy and republic kind of redundant. Ship of the lines always seemed a little overly strong to me as well. Switching between the original game and my rebalanced version seems to be too much trouble =-). It seems to be that this is kind of a problem for the community. Between the vanilla version, the apolyton pack, the forever future mod, and the stupid stuff I insist on the community is awful fragmented. If someone wrote a script or something that would switch between several mods that might be useful.

    Hi John! Some of us just can't seem to get away from this game. Maybe because it's the only one I know how to play -- sort of! (Speaking for just myself, of course.)

    Sorry, just saw this. Sure. I'm playing some sort of modified game with Ken, so I think I'd need to switch game files backwards and forwards in order to do it.
