    Overlapping expansions?

Definately a newb question but i searched through the forums and I cant seem to find the answer.

Can I work both expansions together? I really like the Warlord's feature for military but BTS has soem great features too. Is there a way to interchange them?

I should note I dont have both installed atm Im in a foreign country and I dont have Warlords but im wondering if its worth buying it again if I can overlap them and get all the features at the same time?

    Thanks

Beyond the Sword includes everything in Warlords except for the scenarios. All of the civs, leaders, units, buildings, etc that warlords introduced are in BtS.

Hmm.. Call me crazy but I could have sworn in Warlords you could use a great general to create an Army stack that you could attack with and preserve the lifespan of your units a little more keeping them from getting wiped out every time they lose a battle.

    Am I thinking Civ III?

Yup, that's Civ III. There's also something similar to that in Civ: Revolutions.

In Civ IV your attach to unit option gives a total of 20 XP to all units in the same tile and unlocks extra promotions for the unit the general is actually attached to.

Also the inablility in Civ III to get another great person while you had an unused Great General was removed.

While the Civ III Great General ability to rush any national (but not great) wonder and any building was replaced with can build the Military Academy or join a city as a Military Instructor.

Damn. I HATE combat in civilization. I wish there was a mod or something that measured units more realistically than just a single unit that regains health over time.

poorlaggedman, if you hate combat, then I definitely recommend you do NOT run the game at the slower speeds (epic and marathon). The slower the game speed, the more turns in the game. As units do not slow their construction as much as buildings and techs, games at these speeds turn into regular slugfests.

Is there any way to merge high score tables from Civ 4 through to BTS?

You want to merge your Civ IV HoFs? What a perfectly reasonable question everyone seems to have thought of except the game developers. In short, the answer is no. The reason relates to the presence of a game save behind each one of the results. Those saves cannot be transferred given the changed conditions of the new expansion.

May be some way to shift them to a formatted file and save all three separately and then combine them. However, that may be too geeky to matter to most of us.
