New Advanced Start BTS PBEM game

Hi All,

I'm thinking of starting a PBEM Advanced Start Game on Vanilla BTS Civ4 (3.13).

At this moment in time, I'm thinking of creating the game using the following configuration:

Random Standard Map with standard settings using Fractal script
4/5 Human players - no AI, no teams - player-chosen Civs
Victory Conditions - Time, Conquest, Domination, Cultural, Space Race, Diplomatic
Normal Speed
Advanced Start of 4000 gold
Normal Barbarians, No Vassal States

If you are interested then please let me know in this thread. Feel free to comment if you think the game config should be different.

Just a note- 'Vanilla' is a bit confusing because it usually refers to non-BTS, not to non-modded as you intend it to Threw me off until I read the advanced start details and realized you had to mean BtS... and then reread the first line

I'd play if it were a PTBS, but no PBEMs for me...

Well, BtS patch 3.17 is now out. I am fully patched up to and including 3.17. If it is a 3.17 game, then I will join. If it is still at 3.13 then I will have to pass...

Sorry for the delay. I've been away for a while. (don't worry - won't happen when the game is actually running)

As mentioned previously in this thread, this game is now a v3.17 BTS game. I'm assuming that this won't be a problem for anyone.

As mentioned previously, the game will be configured with the following parameters (unless there is strong consensus that a different type or size of map will be more interesting):

Random Standard Map with standard settings using Fractal script
4/5 Human players - no AI, no teams - player-chosen Civs
Victory Conditions - Time, Conquest, Domination, Cultural, Space Race, Diplomatic
Normal Speed, Normal difficulty
Advanced Start of 4000 gold
Normal Barbarians, No Vassal States

I propose that we operate a NFL/NBA style draft system to choose Civs on a first come, first served basis using the following order based around who registered their interest first:

First pick: EPW
Second Pick: Addled Platypus
Third Pick: AndyDog
Fourth Pick: Wittlich
Fifth Pick: JidMiddleton

With regards to game playing order, I'll try and 'follow the sun' i.e. arrange the order of games so that there is as little down time due to night time as possible.

What I need from the five players listed above:

I think everything else can be added in-game by the player themselves

Here are the details:

Game Details:

Players (in game-play order):

1st: Jid - Dutch - (picked Civ third), Location: London (works from home so can play turn in day)
2nd: Hercules - Maya - (picked Civ fourth), Location: Ireland
3rd: AndyDog - Inca - (picked Civ first), Location: London (assuming Antipodeans in London work crazy hours and so will be the of our players to play a given turn in Europe)
4th: Wittlich - Random (it's a surprise - i don't know yet) - Location: California

I should be able to input the all the email addresses in game setup but feel free to change your details. I'll only put the apoly account names in for now.
