14 days seems like an excessively long break. Is there any chance we can take a break for a few days around the 25th, and continue around Dec. 27-28? I mean, we haven't exactly been flying through turns recently, and there are some important things going on in-game right now.

Anyone from your team can log in to play the turns. Is there no-one who can play whenyou and kelber are away?

We certainly don't want to put Imperio in a bad situation, but this does seem like poor planning from your team.

I personally am not opposed to brief pauses during holidays, but a 2 week break would mean that we've played just 10 turns during last 2 months.

The Templars have no problems either way, but agree a 2 week break would be too long for the health of the game.

A pause between 24th and 26th, would seem reasonable and again between 31st Dec and 2nd Jan.

Well, PAL has broken the rules of the game (last turn). This should not go unpunished due to lack of contact between civs IMO

That is a pretty harsh claim.
What is the protocol for such an accusation?
Since we do not have a proper game moderator, how are you planning to continue from here?
Should the game be halted, reloaded or what?

I can post a screenie of the event log that shows that PAL violated the Double Move rule... I would've liked a screenie from CivStats (for time stamps) as well, but the uploader is disconnected...

Sorry for the delayed response from PAL, we don’t really check this forum much.

Yes the rules HAVE been broken … by Rabbit. But PAL couldn’t really be bothered to report it.

PAL have always moved before Rabbit … check the logs. But 2 turns ago, it was a fairly neutral turn, nothing much was happening so rabbit decided to move before us and killed our warrior … DOUBLE MOVE! Why did Rabbit do this? The answer is simple so an extra unit could be moved into there second city.

I find it quite shocking; they used such underhanded tactics and then at the nerve to call foul play.

Yes this posts give a lot of information about what is happening in game, but Rabbit are rather bitter about attacking us and then getting owned and therefore have been dropping hints.

I’m genuinely annoyed by this whole episode!

I just found out that Dyndns decided there had been no activity on the account in the last 30 days (??) so it cancelled the account ... I will re-create the account when I get home tonight if I don't forget.

In related news: Who is actually in charge here? RobWorham - you advertised and started the game, are you still around? It seems to me like this game needs a bit of leadership.

I'm still around, but will be somewhat busy with visiting rellies for another week yet. It seems to me that there is an issue or to that needs to be sorted out before we proceed.......

Rabbits are currently discussing how they would like the rules broken against them rectified......

As for 'being in charge', I was asked to promote the game and get it under way, while setting up a team too. As I am a member of the Rabbits it would be a conflict of interests to rule any of the above. I was however under the impression that we were all Civ loving adults and eager to play a good natured game in a sporting manner. What a shame that things have descended to this.............

Alright, I put the game back to 525 BC. Imperio suggested they would be back by the 5th (tomorrow) so this should allow everyone to play as needed.

Civstats is up as well and hopefully DYNDNS doesn't go crazy and delete my account again.
