    The turn is in.
Nothing special in the news - Sarantium offered the deal again and Mercs have overtaken GS in score.

    Meanwhile some scouting effort:

And the south - continued to move along established paths - moved the lone chuck SW to scout/cover that area, he should move into forest and move towards city, together with the following ones.

Nah, just sea, gulls and fish.

Actually it seems that there is a lot of unclaimed land to SW from Tuscany - we can drop our explorer there, promote to woodsman (since there's mostly jungle) and see what he can do.

The borders the second city have not expanded, that means they have not yet connected the Ivory thats west of that city. Unless they have Ivory further south then they cant have any War Elephants. Even if the borders pop next turn they can't hook it up fast enough (unless they risk a huge numbers of workers by moving them right in front of our incoming army).

Do you think the new landmass discovered off the east coast is part of the Sarantium/Merc/Horde continent or could it be an independent piece we could expand to for a domination victory?

No, the borders have expanded, the few tiles you see is the top of fat cross.

The landmass to the east seems a top of long peninsula or an island. We will see that next turn.

    Finished it up.

Things to expect in next few turns:
    - GP in 2 turns
    - HG in 2-3 turns
    - we reach next GS city in 3-4 turns
    - deal with Sarantium in 4-5 turns
    - Guilds and knights in 5-6 turns

About the caravels for next turn:
=> The Sarantium one should move west-west (don't lose shore out of sight)
=> The one near the new peninsula should move east-east (north of the landmass, don't start going south)

I wonder if the 2 catapults we're making will arrive on time in GS' cities, but our taskforce of 4 workers should be a good help in this area.

When will we switch back to research ? We have +/- 250 gold now, running at +80 gold with 100%econ

    Questionssssssssss...

We have surplus happiness and health in Xi'an. Why not work the farm?

How about placing a garrison in XinGuangZhou for a benefit of four commerce (working an extra coast tile)?

I think we should move scout there first.

They definitely will, this one ain't gonna be a 15 turn war.

When will we switch back to research ? We have +/- 250 gold now, running at +80 gold with 100%econ
I think it was 210 and we have -80 at 100% science, so we should wait at least one more turn (but I would prefer to wait until next GP).

    Sounds good.

The city is now optimized for hammers as per military production.

Sounds good, perhaps next build in Tassagrad, or we might be getting extra happiness from those gems near Hun.

If our first Caravel is going to go southward round the Sarantium landmass then the other should try to go in a northernly route to maximize the chance of full circumnavigation (if both go the same direction and its ice blocked we waste time). It also explores the coast most efficiently if we can make the iceey passages at both ends as the two can circle the continent in a clockwise fashion without having to double back through any already explored area.
