To answer the Mali.

Well for example i have no idea what others have traded and how many times they did.

We need to come up with some way of tracking this information. I will incorporate the trades in my stories of course. My story post was just to give an example. We have a gentlement agreement to follow the 10 tech rule yes - still I would like to keep a closer eye on this.

Without controls people may stray away.

Perhaps a thread dedicated to managing this?

People post when, what, and to whom they traded. Then some sort of mod does a running tally periodicly.

Holland has traded 4 techs.

And is in the story thread I believe but for clarification:

We have trade to another civ: Monotheism, Theology, [another tech] and Monarchy in the last session.

Can the other civ double check this please - am at work and can't check.

Tech Trades Table
This will be updated after sessions and reposted further down the thread. Right now I need a summary of everyone's tech trades. I don't need to know what was received in return. I don't need to know who you gave it to. "Example: I, Vikings, gave away Monarchy and Machinery. Total 2". Then I'll summarize here. Some people have done this already so I'm gonna put those in shortly. We don't need a separate thread. Just a summary as shown here.

America: Iron Working, Archery
Carpathia: Alphabet
France: Alphabet x2
Holland:
Inca: Monarchy, Aesthetics
Mali:
Mongolia: Iron Working, Masonry

Ottoman did trade to the Mali people 1 tech as well, so a total of 2 trades all up, cannot remember what it was.
For your information they gave us 2 technologies in return for that one, Iron Working and Polytheism.

We traded Alphabet three times, thus far. And Lz since you started the thread, and you intend to take tabs wouldn't it be better for you to edit your first post to make these lists easier to find? Like I suggested...

I've always considered these Apolyton voting issues/Hall of fame contests to be nothing more than self-aggrandizing bullshit.

So I'm not voting.

And to that point; barely half of these people know CS enough to vote for him, me included.

Ehh.. America the last session was played with a sub.

Don't blame you for being confused though, I know I am. I did a test with Mongolia a day before. With 2 diploers during the week. And I even organised a game with 4 of my friends to confirm the thing worked. Then on sunday it didn't work.

Save load 101

1. Open the game
2. Go Multiplayer
3. Go Direct IP Connection
4. Go Load Game
5. Select Save
6. Press OK

Anon play is assisting the game - there is no doubt about this.

I have to confess that on two occassions I slipped into talking to 2 players about the game on the assumption of who I thought they were in the game. I quickly pulled back from the discussions!

Also, a few players have started to talk to me on the basis of who they thought I was in the game. I will not respond to this.

It's easy to make a mistake but we must keep trying.

A player said something to me today that I'd rather not have heard

But hopefully they are wrong!

Diplo America is being the most indescreet. Please don't send me messages on the assumption of who you think I am.

I am not going to say anything but this, because I think its screwed up that you said that I am being indescreet;

1) The only reason I know who you are is because you told me, and if you forgot the discussion I am talking about that is your fault and not mine.

2) There are at least two other tribes that accidentally divulged their identities to me and I have not said a damn word.

3) F*ck you for saying this to begin with, if you don't understand why see reasons 1 and 2.

That's bound to create problems, and there was no initial reason to bring the issue up.

Genuine mstakes aside, mine included, the reason I singled out Diplo Amerixa is that they directly addressed me in the game IC chat as what they thought my player name was. They did it deliberately and humourously. I did not respond.

It's clear that Mali's defiance to leak intelligene IS causing much needed in game tension. Look at Inca response.

I would really much appreciate it if people try to be a bit more friendlier towards eachother.

The game can really shine if people can focus their energy on IC in game instead of OOC in here
