I know there's a battle for Endopr scn out there, though I wouldn't call it planetary since you both fight in space and on a small smaaaaall endor.

Does anyone know of any (decent) SW scenarios that deal with planetary battles such as the Battle of Endor, or the Battle of Hoth? I haven't seen any except Siege of Cydonia or large galaxy scens like Insurrection.![]()
To tell the truth, I'm a little irritated that there aren't any available on SL or CFC. I'm actually thinking about an Episode 1 Naboo planetary scen...but that is a very long way off, way after I finish GW.![]()
So. Are there any scens buried where I can't find them?
BTW, Meet the Baron droid, Nute Gunray's answer to the Jedi Knights cutting down B1 battle droids like cordwood. These baddies had thermal tracking and could issue a non-stop stream of fire from those rotating hands. They were meant as a stop-gap between the B1 and the B2 battle droids.
*edit* Is it just my computer, or does that pic not show up?

There are some good scenarios in the Star Trek universe, but I have not played any related to Star Wars.

In short, no. Not even for Star Trek scenarios.

A tactical Star Wars scenario on one battlefield is something I am yet to see done on ToT...
I know that Sarsstock is working on a nice SW scenario!

Is that one of those droids from the hideous new SW movies?
Jerec, there are still existing Star Wars planetary battle scenarios.
One is: Star Wars Colonies

Another one I remember is the Battle of Hoth. Here I don´t have a link. May be on one of my very old pc´s it can be found if I would have the time to reactivate it.
And there are some other planetary batttle scenarios too if I remember well.
But these scenarios are not too good in my eyes. The SF scenarios with battles in space for me are much more interesting. kobayashi rules!!![]()

The CIV2 Partisan hideout!
Cool site!
It has tons of old classic CIV2 material...![]()

Nope. It actually isn't in any of the movies, including my fav, Episode I. It was introduced in a few video games and some books I think...Naboo resistance fighters were said to have met this monster while fighting in the Naboo maintenance tunnels under Theed. I wouldn't want to meet one those things in a dark alley myself, especially since they are 7 ft tall.Originally posted by curtsibling
Is that one of those droids from the hideous new SW movies?Nute Gunray used them as his personal bodyguard until B2 battle droids went into mass production. This bodyguard worked actually, it managed to leave a few Jedi as charred lumps before they were cut in half themselves.

Oh, and if you think this droid is bad, check out the B3 ultra battle droid. This was a real monster, the average 5 ft human only reached it's kneecap. It had a flamethrower on one hand and a wide-spray plasma cannon on the other hand, plus two small, ordinary blasters built in as those second small arms fused on the torso. There was also a small missile pack attached on the shoulder. In addition to all this firepower, the B3 had a gravity-well projector, allowing it to increase its weight tenfold. This allowed it to squash tanks and fortifications without half trying. It could incinerate quite a few Jedi before going down...

But my humble efforts do not compare to the masterpieces of those other two CIV2 greats!but what about Dalek Tyranny, U.N.I.T. Extermination, the FOUR Bitterfrost scenarios, Kingdoms of Steel, Dictator I, II, and a third on its way? And all high-quality scens, not to mention you being one of the revolutionaries that has delved into ToT to make richer scenarios...

What poppycock, I can't speak for JohnnyV (who apparently visited S-League recently and sent me a PM by the way) but your statement is dubious in its entirety.Originally posted by curtsibling

p.s. in teh way of planet-side SF scenarios, you can try out the SDC 2, i.e. Earth 3000 contest winners
http://sleague.apolyton.net/index.ph...gn_Contest_Two
and I also recommend this Martian Dawn by Benjiball
http://sleague.apolyton.net/index.ph...e=Martian_Dawn
and there was a Dune: Battle for Arrakis and Bajor, the cardassian occupation, somewhere at civfan - albiet with somewhat dated graphics.

CivPartisan here....
Curt Sibling...isn't he that the awesome Civ2 modder...still rockin' the world of civ? A man willing to use 150% of his ability and push the limits of creativity? Dedicated to the Dictator series...whoa...I believe this qualifies as a "Partisan" for sure...and ...uh... I think I know something about that
::Hey Koby! It's like a family reunion around here....::
So glad to see such great support for Civ 2![]()
...I'll try to pop in a little more often and rap more with everyone.
