Yea, it looks very unfair for Virginia Tech to be behind LSU in the rankings if you forget that VT lost to them by 41 points. Too bad that's a really stupid thing to do.

Literally every team with a title game claim had their fate in their own hands and blew it this year. I feel sorry for Hawai'i, since this is probably the only year in memory where a WAC school might stand half a chance in the big game. I feel sorry for Missouri for getting shut out of the BCS.

Agreed.
The big 10 usually gets somewhat penalized for not having a conference tournament. This year it worked to their advantage.
My favorite was listening to all the eastern seaboard progamming network prognosticators not even mentioning the Illini as a possible to be selected for the Rose Bowl. (at least in the shows I watched)
Instead they mentioned all the good eastern teams.
Talk about having blinders on.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
RIP Tony Bogey & Baron O
I loved their half hearted attempt to keep up the suspense... when they showed the first bowl, they gave us Hawaii right away to let EVERYBODY know that there was no way they were going to the Championship game. In addition, the PR event was sickening as they went to Hawaii and asked how it felt to be in a BCS bowl game for the first time (implying how they should feel great about it) and never asking the real question that any normal journalist would have asked, which was, do you feel you should have been given a shot at the Championship
But then for "suspensce", they didn't list Georgia as their opponent in the game... trying to keep the Georgia fans interested. Yet next, they showed the Illini going to the Rose Bowl, which only CONFIRMED that Ohio State was in the Championship.
What a stupid and poorly directed show.
Keep on Civin'

From your source, Imran.
What about that says Texas Tech isn't PUBLIC, which is what you originally said?
Can't move the goalposts that blatant.

Which was also in Week 2!! Since then LSU has gotten worse and VTech has gotten MUCH better, especially from the QB position.

You mean, VTech has since played a creampuff schedule, with the exception of Boston College, who split the series with them.

While LSU has been the luckiest team in history, who should have lost 4 or 5 games.

While I agree with your sentiment generally, I think 1984's BYU Cougars would disagree with the fundamental element of 'only year in memory'. Unless 1984 is too far back for you old folks
(This is the Steve Young BYU Cougars, by the way. 1996's team led by Steve Sarkisian also might have competed for the championship if they had played Florida, rather than KSU which was a much harder matchup for them and ultimately losing (finishing 14-1). )

Well Snoopy, I was b1tching about the BCS, and it's only been around since the 98/99 season. Thus the reference to "the big game." I'll try to be more linguistically precise in future rants.
But thanks for the history lesson, young pup. How old were you in 1984 btw? I'm thinking it was still your preschool years. So in reality, 1984 is too far back for you young folks.

It was actually the Robbie Bosco BYU Cougars. Young was gone the year before.
