I think Big 12 and SEC represented themselves well.
I haven't looked at the stats of W-L, that's just an impression.
Sun Belt 1 1-0 1.000
Mountain West 5 4-1 .800
SEC 9 7-2 .777
Pac-10 6 4-2 .667
Big 12 8 5-3 .625
Big East 5 3-2 .600
Big Ten 8 3-5 .375
Conference USA 6 2-4 .333
ACC 8 2-6 .250
WAC 4 1-3 .250
Independents 1 0-1 .000
MAC 3 0-3 .000
A minimum of 3 teams needed to count.

Michigan hires Scott Shafer as DC away from Stanford. Anybody have an opinion about him?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

UCLA gets Norm Chow as Offensive Coordinator. They have Welker as DC and Neuheisal as HC... looks like an impressive staff so far.

I'm surprised that Chow was willing to move down to UCLA OC.

Apparently there was some... animosity between Chow and Carroll recently and this may be a way to get back at him.
Though Chow, from all it seems, is more interested in OC than HC. He probably could have had the Hawai'i job if he wanted it.

This will hurt his draft stock. (Hawaii had him listed at 6-3, 201.)Hawaii QB Colt Brennan measured just 6 feet 2 inches and 185 pounds at Monday's Senior Bowl weigh-in.

This is a funny one. One of ESPN's B-list anchorwomen (a Michigan grad) participated in roast of Mike & Mike in the Morning. She got rip-roaring drunk, stumbled to the mic and reportedly uttered the following words...
Fvck Notre Dame!
Fvck Touchdown Jesus!
Fvck Jesus!
OK, so ESPN suspends her for a week and issues a press release focusing on the first two lines and apologizing if Notre Dame fans were offended. However, ESPN conveniently made it sound like she didn't say the last line -- no apologies to christians in general.
That's not smart! Some Sharpton-type for the religious right has announced a protest in front of ESPN's Bristol office.
Watching this build the last couple of days has been so funny.

It's kind of silly for ESPN to suspend her in the first place (it's a ROAST, people!), but I can understand it for PR reasons.

Was it being televised?
The OT at APOLYTON is like watching the Special Olympics. Certain people try so hard to debate despite their handicaps.
Baron O RIP.

No... However, there was some thought that an edited and shorter version of the roast would eventually show up on the mother ship.Originally posted by rah

Yeah, heaven forbid they should piss off ND fans.
As for the rest of the christians, why should they care![]()

Actually, ESPN.com said that an edited version would be shown later. But that text was removed.Originally posted by Ming
