here's the updated scenario

After play-testing of my last pbem scenario "Fast and furious" I decided to get reid of "all tech on" option, and start another pbem, based on FF scenario.
This is same map (slightly modified in order to remove one bug, and for better balance )
Idea:
Tiny map with four angry factions:
(in turn order)
1.Hive
2.Sparta
3.Believers
4.PK
Each fractions has similar terrain and same equipment:
On start you get:
3 Colony Pods
3 formers
3 Scouts
3 rovers
5 Probe teams!! (trust no one!)
2 Crawlers
2 alien artifacts
150 EC in cash
In the middle of the map there are Ruins which would be good to capture.
There are two ways of winning.
1. Kill all opponents
2. Building a city inside Ruins and holding it continuously for 20 turns. If no one manage to capture it, you are the WINNER! (of course all other players should not allow this).
Player who will build a city must inform other players that in 20 turns he will win if they do not conquer his city.
If you play cooperative (2v2) then one side should hold the Ruin city for 30 turns.
Other rules:
- No Planet Busters (you should use only conventional weaponry)
- Attacking Ruin City with Nerve Gas is not allowed if Ruin City has size of 1
- No Council (no Planetary Gov)
/////////////////
If you wanna play just sign in, and pick your faction.

I'm interested too.![]()
I think i'll take the PK if it's ok with you all.

It's ok with me,
but I thought about one more rule - No Council (no peeking other players without infitrating them - PK would have too much advantage in election)
PS Heniu - pick your faction

Ok then. No council. Anyway I picked them up just because they have no real weaknessOriginally posted by alexx

Also you may add this rule to the scenario ...![]()

I've updated scenario, and rules.
PS Heniu picked Sparta.
We need one more player (Hive, Believers are still free)

I would like to join. I prefer Hive. Thanks!
We need to play SMACX where Hive was corrected to have immunity to (in)efficinecy, to avoid putting the Hive at a disadvantage. Or perhaps the scenario could be set up to make sure Hive has immunity to (in)efficiency.

if Heniu has smacx then we may play it. In other case we will have to stick with Smac. You can change faction to believiers if you want...
How to do that?Or perhaps the scenario could be set up to make sure Hive has immunity to (in)efficiency.

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

Ok, it's smacx then,
The turn order is:
1.Hive (Monty)
2.Sparta (Heniu)
3.Believers (Alexx)
4.PK (Bdanv)
FIRST TURN SENT TO MONTY!

I got the first turn, and tried to play it at lunch break at work. Unfortunately, I hit glitch with the supply crawlers, that I wanted to wait until I got home to explore.
It seems that you can't give the "Support From Here" command to the supply crawlers. It just does not show up on the pop-up. But without being able to associate the supply crawlers with a city, you can't use them to gather resources.
So can we fix the supply crawlers and try again?

There is no need to try again. I know this bug(?)Originally posted by mmontgomery

You can asociate crawlers using command keys.
Use: CTRL + H on your crawler (while in base). This should work.
So please reload game and let's play![]()

I think we have a problem. My SE settings are all screwed up:
This is no way near PK's SE settings![]()

I checked out, and it is true. Bdan have weird SE settings - this was an issue earlier in this map (I dont know how to fix this bug)Originally posted by bdanv

There is one way around this - you can "change" your Economics settings to Simple (cost: 40 EC)
and in second turn change Future Society to NONE (cost another 40 EC)
This should fix this problem.
You will spend 80 EC on fixing this.
I suggest other players participate in this costs and send you 20 EC each. (we'll all end up having 130 EC)
Guys what you say?

Have you tried hitting reset SE preferences in the scenario?

No, but I've tried now, and it works!Originally posted by bdanv
