    [MOD] Second Revolution 2.0

    Second Revolution 2.0 {New 2_1.5 Patch with AI Bugfixes
    For Warlords 2.0.8.0




    Hello, welcome to the new version of Second Revolution. With 2.0, warlords compatibility comes with this total conversion mod. This is a difficult mod, with many custom units, and many strategies. This is a contreversial mod, with current events set not far from where we are right now. With added playability for the Capitalist Bloc, like the 9/11 Freedom Tower Memorial, and custom Civics like Out-Sourcing and Wage Slavery.

    Please post here with suggestions, criticisms, and reviews. Post your winning strategy, or just say hello to the developers, too. If you want to contribute ideas, artwork, and Codesmith++ skillz, please come to the Second Revolution Developers Sub-Forum.

    Recommended System
    You must have installed the most updated version of the Warlords Expansion of Civilization 4.
    I recommend at least 512 Mb of RAM, and at least a 1.8 Ghz or equivelent processor.

    Installation Instructions
    1. Double Click SecondRevolution.exe.
    2. Follow the prompts.

    Release Notes
    Right now the version is slightly unstable. If you happen to be an elite Codesmith++, please help me debug the SDK and python. I am totally inable to do this as I have idiot's grasp of programming (yet i made a mod..?)

    I'm still here Just tried for 30-40 minutes before bedtime yesterday as the rebels.

    My first impressions:
    *I found it too easy for rebels to take US cities untill I actually took one and a lot of protesters appeared. I liked this!
    *Should it be so easy to make peace with Canada and Mexico? Made peace with them to make the rebellion/ war against USA easier
    *Interesting that Bush launced nukes against his former cities eventhough the population is still "American"...
    *I like the variation of units here, so far they seem well done

    Bugs:
    *Entries in civilopedia should be looked at. Got often that message about text string missing when calculating battles
    *Speaking of battles, the winning percentage chance is not calulated, only strength vs. strength.
    *The T-62 tank ( I think, the strongest one that rebels can build) has no animation at all in battles (units it's fighting, also have no animation
    *The rebels have no contact with Zapastia (or how it's written, am at work). In these modern times, they should have contact eventhough no actual units close to one of the borders.

    I only had time to play one round, so my first impressions are rather few. However, I find this an interesting scenario and it seems good gameplaywise. Not sure if I'll get time to play more today, but I'll try

    Why don't you submit a news item for your mod here? That might get some more people to have a look at it...

    I would also recommend submitting the file here. I see it's a very large file, if you want Apolyton to host it on our server, contact me by PM or email.

    Marketing it widely is the best way to get people to play your mod

    *Fabrysse did excellent making that mod work (notice anything about the artillery, too? )
    *as rebels you should be able to make peace with canada (in fact this is almost nessasary)
    *Bush is ruthless, no?

    **civilopaedia needs alot of work with formatting and typos (most of the civilopaedia is from wiki) and the battle odds thing i still cant figure out
    **T-62 needs animations (and so do some other units) please help!
    **the rebel and zapatista contact issues was a quirky bug of the first version that i decided to keep

    keep the info coming in! i get excited when i hear how the war turns out in each game!

    I am happy to hear this!! I have always wanted to break into the apolyton scene (but little luck )

    i will get those files for you soon, or if you have a FTP i can just upload them for you
