    Turn play synchronization

Safan and Pjay, did you read these PMs from Paddy The Scot?

    Hello Maniac, PJayTycy & -SafaN-

wondering if we could have a chat on msn some time...

    paddythescot@hotmail.com

mainly about timeframes for passing the c4dg

nothing to do with the game play or what is going on etc

just about the mechanics, you and I being the turn players etc
    me
    Hi Paddy,

I'm not really an MSNer. I'd suggest to send mails to C4DG.Centaurians@gmail.com instead. That way it's also easier to keep track what's been sent, if someone has already replied etc.

What's there to discuss though. I don't think much can be done about improving timeframes, as the three most common turnplayers you sent this PM to are all Belgian. And you live ahead of us in time zones, so you're already very efficiently sending the turn back in time.

    Greetings,

    Maniac
    Paddy
    cheers mate

in the last game we ran the save like a freight train...

all the turn players were in contact with those before and after them etc on a frequent basis...

this allowed micro tuning on when to expect each save most of the time...

ie, team before me lets me know save in 4 hours, I know to go play some basketball with mates, and save will be there at eta... I would in turn let the team in front know I heard I getting it in 4 hours, I will need 1 hour to check some things with my team, then they would have it in 5 hours...

    was highly sucessful...

we could get around 6 teams in under 24 hours alot...

so yeah I think there is a great deal the turn players can do....

    it is in our control...

Ah I see. I have forwarded this PM to Safan and PJay. Let's hear what they would prefer re how to keep contact.

    Great initiative by them!

I understand each turnplayer needs to have contact of the turnplayer before and after him, to arrange things.

Now, we just have to ask Sarantium's contact.

It won't make a big difference for me. I can not play while at work. Once I have internet at home, I'll be able to play *sometime* in the evening, but I won't be online more than 2 hours a day anyway.

I can play most of the time since I installed cIV on my laptop , so if I don't screw up any future turns, I could step in to play occassionally.

I am thinking about sending my IM contacts to Sarantium turnplayers, Flamer(fin) and E_T for turn synchronisation.

Safan, Maniac, what are your thoughts?

Well, I'd prefer to stay a more or less casual participant in this C4DG, without too much 'official' commitments. Sorry. So I'd prefer not to receive any PMs from Paddy.
