GREAT job by the ref. Instead of ripping out a card, he calms players down by talking to them and making them understand why he is doing what he is doing. A model ref so far in the tourney!

This is probably the best match I've seen so far (I haven't seen all of them though)
Both team had spirits, both teams were really willing to exhaust themselves for the win, and both teams had excellent players.
The same thing could have happened between Portugal and Netherlands, if it hadn't turned into a streetfight contest. So far, it's the only match in this cup that really gives the impression that the best teams and the best players are in the contest
Oh, and the ref was excellent too, which really added to the quality. I hope he's there in the finals.
And on for Brazil - France! Et Un, et Deux, et Trois-Zé-ro!!

It was actually a very good day for football. Brazil-Ghana was an absolute joy to watch (did I mention I called out sick today... well, I overslept or else I wouldn't, but I'm kind of happy I overslept now
