Are we using pitboss?
"

No, we're not using PitBoss. In order to use it someone would have to run it in his computer all the time, for the entire duration of the game.
However I vote for a grace period of 48 hours during each player should play his turn.

I didn't think PitBoss worked that way.
Turn played and sent to the Swede.![]()

Turn is with EPW..

I wasn't aware either until I read about itOriginally posted by Andydog

BTW, by creating an account in GameSpy (can be done within the game) you gain the ability to automatically send turns from within Civ4 and join the respective civgroup, if that's of any interest to you![]()

You would also need 2 separate computers if you are to both host a game and participate in it.

I don't think that's necessary. 1 computer can do the job as long as it's always running and online.Originally posted by LotharTheSwede

EPW, have you played your turn?

On to Rickity

Rick, have you received the turn? It is over a week and we're still on turn 1. Can we please have a faster turn rate?
Earthworm, could you resend the turn to ricketyclik?

Wasn't he going to be away until wednesday? Or was that last week?

I will resend when I get home.

Oh, OK, I just found it at the bottom of the page.

Berlin, our glorious capital founded 40 years ago, at the dawn of civilization, is growing steadily while our scouts are searching for traces of other civilizations. So far we haven't witnessed not even a single indication of wild life in the surroundings.
I thought a little roleplaying wouldn't harm![]()

still need services of a moderator

I don't know what ricketyclick sent but the turn is with me and I'll play it as soon as my internet is back up and running.
Why do we need a moderator in a turn tracking thread that includes a bit of role play?

For holding passwords and playing turns if an original player does not play in time or suddenly disappears. Can come to handy, at list that is what experience has showed me so far.

Andydog?

I was on the phone for 2 hours last night with the ISP. They seem to think that the problem is on their end. It should be resolved by now. When I get home from work tonight I'll check and play. Sorry about this, I hate hold ups just as much as everyone.
I think its a good idea about having someone play turns for slow players. If a mod feels it appropriate to play my turn now, then that's fine.

sorry for the dealy had an emergency to deal with
still willing to do the job

Welcome aboard Platypus Rex
I will email you with the details at Monday. Too busy tonight and tomorrow![]()

BTW, where's the turn?

Andydog, have you resolved the problem with your Internet connection?

One turn a month. Not bad. This way the game will last me all the way to the nursing home.
