After more than 2.5 years of service Urban Ranger is stepping down from his position of OT Moderator.

On behalf of the Apolyton Owners and Staff I would like to thank UR for his significant help over these last years.

A new OT moderator will be announced shortly

just for the record, the UR-Asher thing had nothing to do with this (on a sidenote, the grand majority of times, asher has been banned by ming...

Probably because he got sick of the continual garbage he got from some posters. It's one thing to appoint a mod, but another to have that mod continuously trolled by about half a dozen posters, trying to bait him into overreacting.

I'm surprised some of those people weren't permabanned. It's not like being a mod is a privilege, it's actually the worst burden a poster can take on. You basically have to ignore your own preferences when it comes to moderating flame threads, and that is pretty hard to do. You can no longer break the rules or flirt with breaking them either.

He'd probably have been more successful, if he did those things. You pretty much sumed up all the complaints about him.
