Is this game really started ? it seems dead.

Have we made any decisions about turn speed yet, surely we need to try and move these early turns along a bit !

Yes they are Jon Miller was having issues with a turnplayer or being a turn player hopefully we will hear from him soon or else Snoopy will have to play the save.

Yeah, as number 7 out of 7 teams it seems a little slow. But I think folks expected that the first turn would take a little extra time. Still 48 hours seems reasonable...

And, more to the point: yippee, the avatar is back!! Con sux but the avatar is great! Where's Micha? Should I start a poll: Micha's vs. con's avatars?

Sorry, Vox was down to only a few members checking the forum (because of the long hiatus).

And all those members but one can't play Civ4 online. And that one won't be back until next Monday (or Sunday?).

Dis has showed up (earlier today), and while he has problems with his access at home, I think that he will try to play the turn.

If it is too much harder, Snoopy will do what we tell him to.

Jon we dont really want to wait until Monday, can you just give Snoopy your moves?

In the meantime you need to find a reliable turn player, if we can't crank out turns relatively quickly this early in the game we are doomed.............

No offense but delays this early are going to be bad for everyones morale especially when we waited so long for the patch to start.

I'm working with Vox to get this played. I am very busy tomorrow, unfortunately, so if I end up playing the turn it won't be until saturday at the earliest, and possibly sunday.

That way, we can hopefully get going without too much further delay.

Well, we got partway through but Jon got called away. I posted in his private forum a possible save, but he may disagree with my guesses at his choices, so if he does it'll be tomorrow at the earliest.

Additionally, I would like to apologise to Soopy because when I got back from the phone call, I didn't go to the turn chat thread right away, but instead dinked arround on another site for a bit (I had forgotten I was doing something before the phone call).

Within a week I should either buy a memory stick or a laptop. Than I will download the save and the mod and the patch. I will have to transport it home to play a save, but Voxes turn arround time should not be longer than 24 hours after that.

Make sure the C4DG mod is installed in the correct directory (in the C:\Program Files\Firaxis\Sid Meier's Civilization IV\Mods\C4DG Colors\ directory). If it's installed in the \My Documents\My Games\ directory, it will give you the above error!

Looks like you tried to load the save from in Civ IV?
Try just to double click the save file before booting Civ


If that doesn't work, Try to load the mod before the save.

Go into advance, load mods, C4DG Colors, game will restart, then load the save from the MP menu.

I haven't tried this recently, but the issue came up during CFC's demogame startup. We decided not to lock protected assets. I'm not completely sure this will help, but...

With protected assets, you can't have any mods in the "customassets" folder under "my documents". If you have any mods installed there and have a continuing need to use them, I'd recommend renaming this folder, letting the game recreate it, and then using a batch file to switch back and forth.
