what you do is when you open your turn before making your moves press ALT & D at the same time.
Then you enter your information.
you will need the server outgoing name "smtp-droopeydraws.tt.ii.net" an than your email.
sometimes you need your opponents email but usually the host sets it up.
You end the turn and it pauses a little then toward left a message appears sent to Grams successfukky and then yu hut exit ti desktop

They key I found is to move a unit a turn..say a worker or an archer whom is defending then PRESS ALT & D at same time and enter infor required.
I have heard gamail has had issues, although I can confirm no deny first hand

huge map... hmmm don't know if my computer likes that... And on civ choices... uhm? need some time to think about that..

I just did an upgrade, installed 2 1 gig RAM where before I had 2 500 gig Ram

well my machine used to crash most of the time in the later stages of a huge map game, id play two maybe three turns then it would either lock up permanently or crash to desktop etc.
however with the patch ive been able to play my old huge map saves fairly smoothly, just the occasional freeze for a few seconds when scrolling but nothing too drastic.
I would imagine loading single pbem turns and playing single pbem turns will be very possible for most now, unless of course those single turns are of epic wars with hundreds of units to move around, but I dont think ive yet managed to have anything like the number of units you could end up with in a civ3 late game.
Ill play this is there is room and ill think about civ chioces when that is confirmed
