We've had actually good bands and singers in this competition, but they never win the local votes to be contenders for Finland. I guess this is the same in lots of countries. We've had true competitors many times, we've had HIM, we've had Nightwish, to no avail.. so now that Lordi won, it still was a surprise, even though no one came even close. Because, it was to be expected that the 80years+ would totally dominate the votes again and vote their favourite who looks like their grandson.
