Good work...!
Thankee sir... though if I may venture to say that its not an Aussie, but rather a Chindit, as indicated by the unrecognisable unit insignia. Which goes to show how much my shield-making skills suck in comparison to yours. If its not too much trouble, may I humbly request a correction from our resident shield master?Originally posted by Sarsstock
Well done indeed Typhoon, I especially like the Aussie on the bottom right with the big ol'knife in hand.

As promised to Patrick, here is the next batch of updates for EotRS. I'm particularly pleased with this update, not because of any particular graphical merits (my usual dubious quality), but because unlike the first time I made these I've actually managed to cross reference most of the details of these highly obscure uniforms with sources on the intraweb.(With the exception of the Frog, based on textual description)
So here are a Dutch KNIL soldier and Royal Marine, a Thai in 1934 field uniform, and a French Colonial soldier (Marsouins) as seen in Indochina. BMP in next post.

Great stuff, Typhoon! I will like to use these when EotRS comes up for finishing.

Very nice units, typhoon!
(Btw, could you please play your Belle turn, or at least notify us about your absence. You're 10 turns overdue already!)

Some new WW2 infantry, featuring:
Soviet Red Army, German Infanterie, Brit Trooper, Japanese Marine, US Rifleman....!
Created by Fairline, tweaked by myself.

Very nice additions Curt and Typhoon to the always growing and evolving collection of Civ II graphics (by far the forum's greatest collection).
I especially like the new poses for the American and Japanese infantry Curt and the uniform of the Dutch Royal Marine Typhoon.

Very Nice, i'd post something but all my civ2 stuff is on my Maxtor 120GB, the one that no longer wants to be detected by anything,![]()
This with the problems i had when i tried to upgrade the ram, i am starting to look forward to upgrading this heap of junk.![]()
Instructions for quick wash:
Tie clothes in bundle, drop in toilet and flush 5-times
then tie damp clothes around neck in capelike fashion
and run around block yelling "I am normal!" until clothes are air-dried.

Have you tried taking a look at the jumpers?Originally posted by Broken_Erika

I'm hearing more and more problems with maxtor HD's... They don't seem as god as they used to be :-/
Indifference is Bliss

Perfect leathernecks, man!
@Erika, I have a dead Maxtor120 too. Weird.

US WW2 and Korean War units. Usual story about the png preview for IE users: use the units bmp in the zip below in-game, not the png!

USA units bmp:
EDIT: POS tweaks

Verra verra nice.
Very nice indeed Curt and Gareth. I've noticed over the years you both have used a good looking assortment of shields to denote nationality and such of your units, I wonder if you might ever consider posting a collection of them on the non-unit graphics thread?

Indeed verynice units.
An Sarsstock, that reminds me.. You ned to update yourlag collection AND post that file ofyours with all the flags/shields in different colors (theones you use for bases when drawing new flags/shields). You posed it once before but I can't find it.

Excellent as always.![]()

I'll try to dig up the flag/shield file Martin but I'm not sure its all that they're relevant anymore to tell the truth, Curt's and Gareth's respectively are much more detailed and sophisticated than the last batch of mine.
If I am able to find the old file I'll probably try to update it to keep it close in line to Curt & Gareth's work.

Fairline, as i see your fabulous units, are you thinking about to make a remake of your WW1, colonial, US Civilwar units?
It would be very great...![]()

Thanks. WW1 is on the cards atm, together with some Russian civil war units.
I recall Sarsstock made some US civil war units.
Though its true I posted some Civil War era units in the Industrial Units thread,
http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...0&pagenumber=4
I can't quite claim to have "made" these units, they were modifications of earlier period units that were posted either by yourself or Curt.
I'm very curious to see these new ToT WW1 units you have in the cards though, considering how groundbreaking your first batch of WW1 units were way back when.

Fantastic. I canīt wait for seeing the great TOT WW1 units.![]()

hey, if you're making world war I units, would you consider some late british tanks that never made it into the war like the Medium Mark B Whippet and Medium Mark C Hornet, or the Mark VIII international? i've wanted to see units of these for ages...i run mge...but resizing always works.

Some new WW2 updates from Dictator VI -
US Airborne, British Marine Commando, Soviet Guard.
Very nice indeed Curt, I especially like the parachute on the American airborne unit.

Looks great! When can we expect a preview thread for Dictator?![]()

Just a few units to go, and an overhaul of the techs/events.
The map, rules, icons, and placement are all done.
So perhaps the new year or so.

A late xmas present for the WW2 thread!
Some ToT tweaks of Nemo's classic naval units...Destroyer/Cruiser/Battleship...!
Super Battleship, Sub and Carrier to be added soon!
