Now that I most definitely like

I am well into early twentieth century units right now as you may well have guessed. This chap would also make a decent Romanian with a few minor modifications.

Those are top quality and just in time! I have just been working out how to fill the extra unit space since I dropped the WWI part of the game. These will fill in for Guards etc...

Any chance of some Romanian or Serb Cavalry or some Maxims for each nation? Or would that just be too cheaky

Well, there seem to be some good graphics for Serb and Romanian cavalry (I think), but here are some Maxims (did the Turks use said guns in the Balkans War? Because then I'll have to make a graphic for them):

Excellent work GoD. I whipped up some similar, though less polished, efforts at work tonight. I think I should have enough units for the game now (with a bit of cut + paste) but if you fancy doing any others I would not grumble.

I have not studied the exact weaponry of all nations though I think Maxims were fairly standard. In any case they look like realy solid bits of kit! I need to modify some of the artillery units to fit the different nations.

Must stop typing now as I am very tired and I tend to start writing complete nonsense!

Very nice indeed Ghost, you've really hit the ball running on allot of these unit mods. Where you planning to use any of them in upcoming project of your own or are you more looking to add to the pool of Civ II historical unit for others to dip into (i.e. Werd100's Balkans War project)?

Lets see if I can prod this thread alive with a small request:

I'm looking for infantry units for my Finnish Civil War scenario. It occurred in 1918 so I'm looking for WW1 units, but since it was in Finland so their uniforms were not so esthetically pleasing. I was charmed by the miniature units posted by Jim Panse quite a while ago, but I want to see if there are decent normal ones.

Here's a picture of typical Finnish White forces:



I'm also looking for Red troops. They had similar clothing, but tended to be brown in colour. They were mostly volunteer civilians (and proletarian) so their clothes were not too neat. A red arm band would be a nice touch

Oh and one more thing if it's not too much of a hassle: a good mid-late 19th century locomotive or train unit would be very useful. I think I saw Trotsky's armoured train unit once, so that will do, too.

Check Techumseh's Red October for trains and Reds. Check El Aurens v2 for a train. AFAIK, both are on the Scenario League.
