Fairline, any chance of a corresponding "Enemies of Rome" collection? Perhaps including 1st century BCE Britons, Germans, Dacians and Sythians?Originally posted by fairline

Love that pikeman Steph, I hope he's just the first of many more of your renaissance era units to come!

Here's the first part - German's, Dacians, Sarmatians, Sassanids etc to follow.Originally posted by techumseh

I claim a first here: this has to be the only set of civ units with a fella with his todger on displayThose cheeky Gallic Gasatae!
Usual story: this is the preview png; the useable units are in the zip below.

Useable ToT units:

Usable? Even Angus would approve!
I'll bet, however, that pixel obsession syndrome will prevent these from being your last rendition.![]()
Nice.
Any chance for MGE version of the units?

Loketh great, as always, Gareth
Thank you so much for sharing!
Btw, does the title "Rome's Enemies I" indicate there is No. 2 underway ...![]()

Heavens to betsy!
Those barbs are awesome to behold!
It's enough to prompt me into creating a fantasy empire building scenario!

I can't help but feel Gareth that with units of this caliber you should be getting paid.
And great scenario that would be Curt! Its a real shame we all can't be paid to do this for a living though, just imagine the graphics and scenario's that could be developed if the best minds of this forum could be brought together for a month.... with all expenses paid of course. More would be achieved in that month alone than has been done in the last year.
Armed with the new graphics and scenario's, I don't doubt that Civ II be it MGE or ToT would have a massive impact with a whole new generation of gamers if only it were marketed correctly.

I'll convert those that I can - most are too large for MGE.Originally posted by BillyBud

You are the undisputed master crafsman, Gareth.

Yep - When you think CIV2's visual boundaries have been reached....
....Along come fairline and breaks on through!

Why not start a thread in the main CIV2 area, and we
could help get things back on track for the scenario?

'Twas a sad day when the local hobby shop closed for good. Must've had 2 meters of those books with very few duplicates.![]()

We still have an old school wargaming/hobby shop in Glasgow...
Of course, it is heavily occupied by many gamer greybeards.
I'll bet they have a stack of McBride-illustrated books on sale...!

I am wondering, are there any compilations of native American units around?
I am sure I seen one before the crash!
![]()

What, these?
Now they look a bit short of the task next to GB's masterpieces, I know.
I have updated my source material in the meantime, though.

I already use these for Colonialism, an they are spectacular!
It just so happens that the scenario is revisited as we speak. Expect its second installment within a couple of days!

Excellent work!Originally posted by tanelorn

These will do the trick, without a doubt!
