I'll be out of town until the 2nd (headin' up to Santa Fe to party in the new century!), so Web Site updates may be delayed. Happy New Year, Clash mates!

Clash Team:
Now that we've moved to Apolyton and are past the "beta" stage, it's important that the Web Site remain current. As I've said before, it's very much YOUR site, and it's incumbent upon Dom and I to respect your wishes. We want you to use the Web Site as your Clash work space, and that means each model page should be accurate and up-to-date. Although the look-and-feel of each page should be similar, they don't have to be identical.
For example, if the Disease guru uses several "non-Clash" web sites to assist him in developing his model, by all means let's add those links to the Disease Model page. Anything which helps you "get the job done", we're prepared to support.
And of course, there's the regular stuff like model updates, new email addresses, inclusion of new team members, bug reporting, etc.
I am YOUR web editor, sometimes forgetful but always approachable! I'm not receiving much email from Team Members however, so lets try something different. We'll establish this thread as the central point for posting requests to the Web Team. That will ensure I don't "lose" an email (I get about 80/day, so it DOES happen!) or miss something that occurred in a different thread. Also, since your request is "public" I'll have an added incentive to respond promptly!

Kull & Dom,
I've sent you the new manual so could it go up ASAP, thanks.
And for anybody else reading, take a lot at it and could you tell me what you think in the thread titled "The Manual".
Cheers,
Chris

Done. Real nice job, by the way!
Kull & Dom,
I've posted the Disease Model so you can update the web page. It's a little hard to understand because I can't really format it the same way I had it in Wordpad, so if you need me to send you that instead, let me know.

TK: The Disease Model has been updated. We've also added a page for your new "Disasters" model. Re: The Wordpad versions. Yes, by all means email them to me!
Darren: I've updated the Interface model to reflect all the work you've done lately, including a link to your demo page.
Nice work, guys!
Hey Kull can you post 2 polls for my char model? I want to use them instead of all reading all the comments cuz i have some specific parameters I want to ask and don't wish to read a whole lot of messages.
Kull, I'll send you those wordpad files in a few days. I'm in the process of updating the models with the stuff we've already discussed. When it is more readable I'll send it to you.
Kull: Excellent, thanks! It's good to have all that stuff in one place (not least for my own disorganised purposes)

LGJ: I can post pretty much anything you want!I don't see the polls in any of the threads, so I assume you'll be emailing them?

I'll be out of town on business until Thursday, so updates will be delayed a bit. Please post your requests anyway!!!

LGJ: I rec'd your questions and passed them along to Dominic. He's looking to incorporate polling technology into the web site, so hopefully we'll have them up this weekend.

The first Clash Poll is now up-and-running! Kudos to LGJ for suggesting it (and Dominic for the implementation). We still owe him 3 more!

Rodrigo: Your "History of Warfare" Summary has been posted, with links added to the Military Model page and in the News

Mark: The new Suggestions page is now up.

All: I've added a "Demo 5 Central" Page which hopefully will assist the Demo5 development process....and keep the curious informed!
U may want to put the demo5 tech model under techs also since it seems to have become the general tech thread also.

TK: The new Disease Model has been posted. Also updated your bio and propagated the new email address.

Actually, we don't yet know exactly what the tech tree will be like, as a lot of the particulars are still being discussed. The posted model has been changed in a lot of ways. It would probably be best to simply put a link to the Demo 5 Tech Tree thread.
Kull:
Are u going to post any of my other polls? If so i might want to review them (if u still have them -_- ) to make sure they are still aplicable.

LGJ: Regarding the polls...
1) The technology only allows us to post one poll per page. So if you want a "Research" poll, only one at a time can be posted on the Research Page.
2) If you also wanted a "Characters" poll, that's no problem since it would be posted on a different page.
3) We can probably create additional pages to handle second and third polls, but it does complicate things a bit. It's not a showstopper though.
4) I'll return your original email containing the Four polls, and will also forward Mark's email in which he provided different wording for Poll #2. Dom & I will make it a priority to quickly post your revisions.
RB: I'd prefer not to take down your existing version of the Tech Tree. It's inevitable that out of date models are going to be posted, otherwise almost every page on the Web Site will say little more than "Model still being revised, see forum for details". I've added a "NOTE" to that effect on the Research Page. If you insist I'll remove the existing model, but I hope you see why I'd rather not.
LGJ: I've updated the links on the Research page, per your request.

LGJ: The new Poll has been posted on the Research/Tech Tree page.
All: I'll be away on business until Thursday, so additional site updates will be delayed. Don't let that stop you from posting new requests, however!![]()

LGJ: Dom was finally able to eliminate the annoying slider at the bottom of the Web Site Index section. It was harder than it looked, as other pages had to be resized so THEY didn't acquire a slider!
Thx! ^_^

Richard/LGJ: I deleted the old Research model and replaced it with the new concept outlined on the Technology System Version 5.1 thread. Congrats, as you guys have done a lot of groundbreaking work!

Richard,
I appended the new "Equations Post" to the Model Page. The earlier post (dtd 2/27) is still there because it's still very informative about the unique aspects of the Clash Research methodology. (Especially for the math-challenged!)![]()

Kull: The equations in that post are obsolete. I will send you a copy of the e-mail I sent to Garth that details all of the equations and plans for the tech editor. That really is the final plan, so if you put that up everything would be up to date.
Thanks.

That's good; everything in the old post is still up to date except the equations. I didn't want anything to be done with the old post.

Chris/LGJ: The new "Wonders Model" page has been added to the Web Site!

I just posted a model for Vegetation, Climate, Ecology, and Pollution. Kull, could you add that to the web site? Thanks.
