Micha, you could outsource your paper to the Federation.

We don't have anyone doing history-writing at present, I'm sure we could have someone write it down. I am the second ranking officer so I'll persuade the Lt Col even if he doesn't agree offhand (which I highly suspect he won't do).

We have an old issue of Morganlink just sitting around and a few other spare articles. We just need to put them into circulation.

I prefer to outsource to the Hive for its lower wage labor. True the Morgan and Gaian papers are of high quality, but they will also cost more.

On the other hand Morganlink should contain Morgan Values. The Federation paper, while a handy source of military advice and tactics, does not give advice on issues valued by the average Morganite, such as cashing options to minimize the upcoming fiscal year's taxes, or tips on finding the right butler for your fourth summer house.

Just to elevate some confusions and concerns, a person's name will appear in the member list of a faction once he clicked on the join link, even if he is not accepted by the team. This appear to be the case with gerikes.

Yes, apparently I must have clicked join on the Spartan's before I realized the Forum structure and had forgotten all about it, although I never remember doing so. In any case, I apologize for the confusion, but as soon as Snowflake alerted me to this I immediatly quit the Spartan board without ever stepping foot inside, so things should be all set.

I think in linear logic and science has lots to offer.

By making science first and adding correct preportions of military and nature you will see a faction that will dominate the scene.

I'm quite interested by this "democracy team game". Never played one before and i'm quite interested. Is it still possible to join ?

Just in case, i have both played SMAC and SMAX at home, so I already know the game (even if I dun pretend to be an expert at it).

Also, I play RPG both pen & pepper and forum based RPG, so I look forward to having some good roleplaying moment around here.

I'm just not sure which faction to join right now, though I'm quite fond of the Gaians both in SMAC and SMAX.

( quite willing to join the mind worm menace , also with all these women dancing naked through the trees ... difficult to resist )

Welcome to the boards, MrBenedict

While the Gaians are a decent faction to play, they have several downsides:
- They run around naked all day, and this as a faction with mostly male members
- They refuse to acknowledge the unspeakable riches this planet has to offer to those willing to exploit them
- They are the Gaians...

It is truth that males do most of the work in Gaian Union - females are eh, occupied with recreation. We enjoy living in harmony with Planet. We do not concern ourselves with riches or security - we let the mindworms do our job there. Ekhem, we also have the best newspaper around: Archive, although we haven't published new issues for a week or two (busy with gameplay too much - we will most likely publish two to four issues in a row then). You are welcome to join us if you seek fun.
