I think this game will never die. Still 97685 players using starcraft on Bnet and the game came out in 1997!

Oh and BTW, I'll accept any challenge from any of you players on a map that we both know. Or maybe we could even make a 2vs2 or 3vs3. No money maps please, that is only for noobs. BGH is somewhat ok but I'd prefer a map that no one uses. A BW map.

I've played it once. Didn't like it I'm afriad.But I have a friend who is hocked. And the cousin of my neightbour is Champion of Norway in the game, and has been in some kind of World Championship, so I guess it's quite alive yes...

Yes, I don't know wht it is, but there's something about Starcraft that just 'clicks'. I used to be hooked on it.. to the extent where I played it for 36 hours straight once.

I suck at starcraft. That's why I don't play it that much. never did.
Great game, it took me a long time to finally stop playing. They still have massive events in Korea.
SC was a landmark game...........but now I play WC3.
StarCraft is the best Real Time Strategy game I've played and the one I've liked the most. However, I'm afraid I can't play online because
1) I suck, specially when not playing Terran (are they the easier to play with?).
2) I've serious problems defeating Terrans, specially against tanks.
3) I'm not sure about the status of my StarCraft copy and thus, if I'm able to connect to Battlenet.

I bought a game pack that came with StarCraft, played it, but it just didn't grab me.
i love the game, but I kept losing...and losing...and losing on bnet, so i stopped.
I won a few, but overall, i sucked
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

First time I played Starcraft, it took a long time before I finished it (It was a 1 on 1 against a friend of mine)... not because both of us sucked at it, but because both of us more or less fell asleep I guess... it was just WAY TOOOOO BORING!!!
I never played a second game... and the other player haven't touched RTS games after that...

But I'm good with all 3, I'm a pro at SC.
Use air, Mass zerglings, Ultralisks, Zealots, spawn broodling, plague, recall units near them, anything. Tanks are powerful, but dumb.2) I've serious problems defeating Terrans, specially against tanks.

Ironically, starcraft made me hate RTS.... EVry RTS game that came out after BW I ended up hating.. (except RA2 which I casually played)

I hate it, max teams of 12 is 2 and a half, leaders are stupid.....I like many armies, big fights mass atttacks. In WC3 it's not possible, not enough unit capacity.
One thing I didnt like about WC3 was one the best improvement in the game. Micromanagement is much easier to do. Its actually a good thing, but it makes scrub players actually play lot better than they do in SC IMO.
