I didn't bother at an early point, the techs I did hut plunder have put me out of the running from the early wonders and larger size cities. Hell, I had seafaring before tradeOriginally posted by Ming
No... I wasn't. I didn't get any sciences from huts... i needed everything. It was funny that you both stole pottery, and then latter both got trade. I was shocked neither of you had it already![]()

Yes, the powergraph is impacted too heavily by population. Celebrating with HG will usually top the list. In most games, the people in it have a better feel for how they rank.So don't be fooled JR.

I know I have a lot to learn in MP. Certainly, I have no clear idea of how you folks determine a "winner" in these one-night romps. If it's not PG, then what?
And for that matter, how is the PG built? I assume it's closely related to civ score, modified by techs. But that's just a wild guess. Insight (or link to old thread) would be of interest.

This is taken from the Great Library and though we all know the Powergraph does not have much meaning, I find it interesting, hope it helps.

The past is history. Tomorrow's a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present.
Acknowledged, Ming. Check my icq when you pop online. Any idea re time?

Long and straight. The Lakes course reconstruction is done, and it's FANTASTIC. The Q school finals will be held there the year after next. They're in for a treat. The new yardarge is 7800 from the golds. Needless to say, we didn't play from those tees.![]()

Ok, it's Thursday, and never too early to plan for the weekend.
It looks like Friday will be about an hour later than normal, but let's not let that get in the way.
Saturday looks good for an early and late game.

Thanx for the game tonight. Still lots to learn, but I think I can claim my first demographic victory![]()

-- FWIW.
weird map. Glad I didn't have to fight too much, too early. could've had another WoW, but rah beat me to Oracle by a turn. I was rushing aqueducts and celebrating my *ss off when we called it a nite. In 4 more turns, would've had several size 11-12 cities.
thx again for BigFun.
BTW --I think the next chapter of RAH Rules should be about "how we determine a winner" -- since us nOObs don't really know how experienced vetereans such as your own bad selves judge these things...
Just a thought...
Much fun...![]()

That was fun. My first MP Civ2 game!
I had a disaster from the get go when barbs killed my early exploring warrior. That left my 2nd city undefended, which rah proceeded to take out, the bastid. Having lost my 2nd city so early was a huge setback from which I couldn't recover. My starting location kinda sucked too, being engulfed by tundra.
Thanks guys!

Yeah, I looked afterwards, it killed ya.
You could have asked for a restart, and I'm sure we would have given it to you.
