The same problem was also reported in the first thread of the Bolivar's Dream PBEM

Several wonders become obsolete with the discovery of Pottery, which means that they are no use at all.
I thought this was intended by the author.

It wasn't. It was told to the author in the betatest phase, and was corrected, but the correction wasn't carried to the public release of the scen. At this scen was designed by JB and published by jasev, it is not strange at all that a minor problem of coordination could have appeared
