Apparently teenagers in Singapore are required to solve problems like this or risk humiliation/beatings/exile to America.

    The answer (according to me):

    Spoiler:
    July 16.

If Albert knows that Bernard doesn't know the answer, then we can rule out the months of May and June, because those months have unique dates.

If Bernard now knows the answer, then it is one of the unique dates of July and August: 15, 16, and 17.

If Albert now knows the answer, then it must be July 16, because there's no way for Albert to discriminate between August 15 and 17.

Maybe she knows the guys aren't that bright, and she'll get a few extra birthdays out of the deal.

Of course, the answer to anyone without at least one foot on the autistic spectrum goes like this-

Albert and Bernard just became friends with Cheryl, and they want to know when her birthday is. Cheryl gives them a list of 10 possible dates. Albert and Bernard stop being friends with the nutter, and change the subject. Cheryl gets no presents on her birthday and is sad.

                  A much more satisfying answer.

I especially love the random dig at autistic people.

It's only a dig if my answer is better than the mathematically correct one they'd have come up with.

I believe your answer would lead to lashings in Singapore, so it's incorrect.

Actually, I believe that kind of blatant defiance would be viewed as treason in Singapore. Hanged, drawn and quartered. Autism wins again.

With that said, I am waaaaay too lazy to work out the answer to that thing, because there's no Singaporean dude with a cane hovering around the room. Also I'm not that autistic.

Defiance? It's the only accurate answer.
