Formation trick

Hit the 'formation take step back' button twice real fast, and the formation will essentially do an about face.

I find that units in 'Defensive' stance usually do an about face when they are first set. I have always considered it just a graphic indicator that they're not on aggressive.

When you change the stance from aggressive to defensive, the unit does an about face. Afterwards, after they engage in combat, they again will face the rear when they are done. That's what I meant.

I tried that out Jaybe, and changing the stance didn't do anything besides... change the stance.

Duh, I suppose I better stop continuing that civ3 game and get back to RoN. It's possible that it's only after they disengage from combat that they are facing the rear ... instead of going in hot pursuit until they're killed.
