As long as one wins out, they won't get screwed.

I think there's a 1 loss team ranked ahead of them.
      The screwing has begun.

I think if either one ends up undefeated, I can't see how they could screw them.

TCU got the crap slapped out of them by Oklahoma State.

So much for Boykin's Heisman hopes.

Baylor is the great hope for the Big 12 right now. I'm really surprised they weren't in the top 4.

            Clemson #1? Puhleeze.

Oregon is bow eligible after whipping Cal! Huzzah! Best three-loss team in the country? Probably!

A 7-win season still seems like the most likely outcome. I don't think they can beat Stanford at the farm, and USC seems to be on the upswing after firing Sarkesian. Oregon State is pathetic, so the Civil War should be a laugher. Should.

Now that the Championship Playoff cabal is meeting, time for my own top ten:

              1. Alabama: dominating LSU is easily the best win any team has had so far this season. The team that lost to Ole Miss seems to be a completely different one.
              2. Ohio State: remember when OSU was poo-poo'd last year? Yeah, happening again, and they're undefeated this time. Nonsense, I say.
              3. Baylor: We'll see if they maintain their status with their 2nd-string QB. Quite a gauntlet ahead for them--Okie Lite poses a huge obstacle.
              4. Oklahoma State: Speaking of. Horse-whipping TCU was impressive, although the Horned Frogs had fully displayed their vulnerabilities all season against weak opponents.
              5. Clemson
              6. Iowa
              7. Stanford
              8. LSU
              9. Florida
              10. Utah

Overrated in the AP top 25: Clemson, Notre Dame (always), Oklahoma, Temple, Memphis, UCLA.

              Pac:

              1. Stanford
              2. Utah
              3. Washington State (!)
              4. USC
              5. Oregon
              6. UCLA
              7. Cal
              8. Washington
              9. Arizona State
              10. Arizona
              11. Colorado
              12. Oregon State

Bwahaha! Oregon delivers a nice bit of payback to Stanford for what they did to the Ducks' playoff hopes two years in a row. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

Lots of upsets this week, although some less surprising than others. Baylor and TCU are probably out of playoff contention at this point, making OU and OSU the best chances for Big 12 playoff berth contention. Although the Pac just took itself out of playoff contention this week. Hard to believe LSU lost so badly to Arkansas. But it shows once again that Kirk "Always Thinks LSU Should Be #1 Until They Prove Otherwise" Herbstreit is a putz.

                1. Alabama
                2. Ohio State
                3. Clemson (pretty much by default since undefeated, but I still don't believe it).
                4. Oklahoma State
                5. Iowa
                6. Florida
                7. Oklahoma
                8. Notre Dame
                9. Michigan State
                10. Baylor? Houston?

Highest-ranked Pac team would be Stanford still, but around 12-13ish I'd say.

And yeah, the Pac's playoff hopes are now officially dead, kaput, finito. Both Stanford and Utah losing makes it unlikely any Pac team will even break the top 10 by season end. This conference cannibalizes itself more than any other. Ranking the conference now is pretty much impossible-- a jumbled mess.

                  Houston? I don't think so.

Neither do I, it was a commentary on the "not a ****ing clue" nature of anything beyond the 0- and 1-loss teams.

Caught the dueling-comeback ending of UCLA-WashSt last night late. That was fun.

It's nice to see Jim Mora lose. It's nice to see the Cougars having a good season for a change. It was not nice to see them beat the Ducks, of course... but if they played that game over, I bet Oregon wins 9 times out of 10. If they played that game with Vernon Adams as Oregon's QB, the Ducks would have won handily. Grumble.

                            Now... go Cal!

And Patterson makes the idiot choice and goes for 2, rather than 1 and overtime.
Following an excellent comeback he slaps his team generally, and his Defense in the face.
If this was manufacturing, written reprimand, minimum.

OK OK the big news today is all about Ohio State imploding spectacularly both on and off the field... but Wisconsin, man. First they drive their own cheerleaders off the field by pelting them with snowballs. And then there's the absolutely inexplicable overturning of the TD catch that was by every measure I can imagine a TD catch. Very odd.
