First the England-Germany disallowed goal fiasco. Then the Argentina goal that was clearly offside. I've stopped watching, its just no fun when good games are ruined by this nonsense. FIFA, its time to join the 21st century!

You'll never convince me in a month of Sundays that Germany is a better side, man for man, than England.
Which makes it all the more baffling they were lucky to lose by only 4 goals to one.Comment

Dunno, they seemed more counter-attacking than the old fashioned press and keep the ball in their half. They never seemed to control the game until England had their hearts ripped out by the 4th goal, which makes me skeptical about their chances going forwards.Comment

Its pretty clear that the two english centerbacks had little to no playing time together. That combined with, no defensive help from the midfielders, the need to push the midfielders forward to score a tying 2nd goal (which, of course, had actually happened), and the bizarre english habit in this WC of pushing everyone into the "german" penalty area where they could interfere with each others play led to the "perfect storm" for a great counter attacking team such as the "Germans" are.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

You've gotta appreciate FIFA's response to the current crop of scandalously bad calls. They're gonna censor the onscreen replays within the stadium. How pathetic

It is amazingly ridiculous. Just bad call after bad call. The non-offsides in the Mexico-Argentina game was absolutely absurd.
I mean, perhaps I can see how a quick strike that drops just inside the goal line can be missed (I said perhaps), but that offsides was as clear as day.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.
