While I agree that what you have posted is likely to be largely true, the simple fact is that it is not actually known, so to assert facts in the absence of information is... Lying.

Iran has been reporting high numbers from the very beginning. Why does this suggest that they're under reporting?

Yes, your assumption of a 3.5% infection fatality rate is insane.

When all is said and done here, more than a few epidemiologists and public health professionals should be drug into the street and shot for inciting mass panic.

The number, even in Italy seems to be 1%, over all, but higher for people with pre-existing conditions (diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and god help those with thing like lung disease, cancer, or heart conditions not to mention the elderly). That is still five times higher than the flu. It also doesn't take into account permanent lung damage or males being made sterile. Males have a 40% greater chance of getting complications though we still have to suffer lying piece of dog **** "feminists" claiming "women are most effected". I wish those lying cows would just get hit by a truck.

You mean beyond lying for six solid weeks, pretending there was no problem, imprisoning doctors and scientists who pointed out there was a massive problem, beyond ordering all test samples of scientists who said there was a problem in early December to destroy their samples and data, or beyond having the vile and evil CCP intentionally locking all human rights activists or citizen reporters into the quarantine "hospitals" even though they were not sick and the soul purpose was to put them in close quarters with people who were sick, in open bays, so that they would become infected and so die? You mean besides that? And we haven't even gotten to where they have 3 million muslim Chinese in death camps or another 10 million in political detention camps which are little better than death camps? You can’t ask him for numbers because they are whatever the CCP says they are.

I’ve been following the situation since December straight out of PRC and Taiwan before Corona virus had a name.

Rule of law has never been a thing in China for thousands of years. Everyone looks at society development through a British and Democratic experience, but neither of those things apply there. The rule of law is whatever the Emperor says it is. If you’ve even done a little bit of business with them you’ll see it right away. A contract has zero meaning and about as enforceable as a US government treaty with Native Americans.

The entire apparatus is based on the clowns at the top saving face vs. doing what’s right for the people. There are no such concepts of checks and balances or audits.

The Chinese Communist Party has the same credibility as Trump does, and their entire institution is built around Bernie Madoff style reporting.

There are lots of ethical people in China but the current culture is more reminiscent of the American Psycho movie.
