It's not just that city, like I said, Lhasa and Thimpu are in the wrong places, and just don't serve much to the atmosphere of the game anyway. They aren't strategically important cities like Tehran or Pyongyang.

Tehran and Pyongyang have never been useful for anything, really!

But I agree they fit with the scenario better!

It looks more and more like Tehran may be good for something - target practice

Well if I am to be adding these new ciites, I may have to call on you again, rmsharpe!

Your anti-nuke hex talents make you essential to the war effort!

I have added Pyongyang to the GEU, Namib to the city-starved PAC and Krasnovast to the lagging Reds.

If rmsharpe would be kind enough to do his hex again, it will be time to blast the hell out of Tehran!

              (and whoever else deserves it!)

                Here she blows.

P.S., tell Allard to get back to work on Boer War v2!

Gah! What did I tell you, Curt? Taipei! Taipei! Gwargh!

Aaaannd...Pyongyang should be one square over to the left, the city doesn't directly border the Pacific like that.

You know, it would be really cool if someone could make a compendium of what can be hexed...

                      Good idea.

I've found that Allard Höfelt's study on hex-editing saved games is an excellent guide to just about all the things I've wanted to do, though some trial and error is sometimes needed.

Are you thinking of just a list of what can be done only by hex-editing (as opposed to using any of the cheat menus) or something more fancy that might even include illustrated, step-by-step examples of how to do things?
Excerpts from the Manual of the Civilization Fanatic :

Money can buy happiness, just raise the luxury rate to 50%.
Money is not the root of all evil, it is the root of great empires.

                        Roger that, rmsharpe!

Then I will return with a new scn file for you...

                        Hope you don't mind!

I was thinking of only hex editing. Sort of like a "this is possible go find someone who can do it" or a "here is an elementary walkthrough for the less than genius". I for one can't figure out how to do it, even with Allard's instructions, and I don't have the time for trial and error. Regular game mechanics are easy for me, but get into code and I'm toast.

Then I will get this thing uploaded...Today!
