you can vote every 4 years. you can join the army once. but you can drink alcohol every day. if the law doesnt trust you to think for yourself when and how to do this simple every-day function, the law doesnt think you're truly a man

I believe the argument of the law is you are a man, but a young man, and young men don't adequately exercise good judgement with alcohol.
I don't agree with it, of course, but I'm not a 60 year old senator.
Drinking age is 18 here, too.
