Why? I didn't vote for him. I don't vote for politicians who don't represent me. That's why I don't vote for Democrats either.Originally posted by Boris Godunov

it's called "splitting the vote". Over 70,000 people in Florida voted for Nader. Had they voted Gore, do you think we'd be in this mess? Why? I didn't vote for him. I don't vote for politicians who don't represent me. That's why I don't vote for Democrats either. To us, it is the BEAST.

What get me about that report is that in the very report given to the Bushies, thing like Saddam using WMD's against the US via Terrorist are ruled a low probability, and yet the amdin. comes out and basically spins it o say it is near certainty., it is only a matter fo time! It may not be lying in the most narrow sense, but it is being disingeneous in thier arguements. If you don't like reality, change it! me

I love this. The Dems are blaming the Greens for their inability to field a winning candidate. Amuses me to no end.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

If they are whining about Gore loosing, they're whining about Nader. Hence the Green comment.Originally posted by Kidicious
I'm not a Green. I'm just explaining why Progressives don't vote for Democrats. In California many Progressives are actually supporting the recall of the Governor.
For the record, I actually agree with your view that you should vote for the candidate that best represents your views.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Right... that's Democracy... but America doesn't have a Democracy. It's a Republic... specifically, a two party system of plurality. Winner takes all. You have two choices. The Greens are whining about Bush. Well, they should direct their complaints to the mirror since they didn't vote for the guy most likely to beat Bush. Don't get me wrong, if America was a Democracy, then I would be all for voting for who best represents you. Especially if the executive branch was populated of representatives based upon the proportion of popular vote. But it doesn't work that way. There are two parties. It's called Democracy. People don't vote for politicians who don't represent them.
I don't like the two-party system, but I'm not going to live in a dillusional fantasy world where my blind idealism is going to dictate how I vote.To us, it is the BEAST.

If you don't like the two party system then why do you vote at all. Doing so you support it.Originally posted by Sava
