Following a string of what the administration is calling "spontaneous celebrations" in most Admarian cities, the Admarian government has announced that it will be preparing to disband in the near future, and has renamed the nation the Federalist Anarchy of Admaria.
"The time is past when the values of federalism could only be applied by the Admarian nation to the individual states. The states of Admaria are federations of the people! And now it is time for those states to disband. We will not take no for an answer! It is time to regain our natural rights as human beings, to live in freedom!" said Federal President Adam Gieseler said today in a speech to disorderly crowds in the capital city of Admar.
A spokesman for Gieseler announced that the Admarian government, a "sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass" according to one anonymous international observer, would begin a planned "withering away of the state" as was advocated but not concluded by Marxist nations. "Until now, states have all tried to hold on to power, though some have tried to hide it. But what can a nation that is determined to restore all power to the people accomplish?" said a presidential aide speaking on condition of anonymity.
Most Admarian states announced that their governments would henceforth be considered "provisional," and the federal government is expected to make a similar announcement once the Federal Parliament can convene. Both the Federal government and the states have begun a program of massive tax cuts designed to eliminate government subsidies and stiulate the economy.
The new initiative comes after a recent UN report listed the country as an "Anarchy." After taking unsuccessful steps to correct the situation, the government then embraced the change.
More on this situation as it develops.
