Yes, it was, but Imperio finished the deal with PAL instead of us.

Can C&D give any estimation based on the cash refund PAL got how many hammers that they had into the Taj?

On T143 I noted that PAL had 900 cash exactly. I think they were running 100% science that turn, so they'll lose some on the interturn.

I think we will see next turn how much cash they got. It depends on whether we patch or not.

From my analysis they could have accumulated up to 570hammers.

Since I am away for one week, I am thinking in shutting down the C&D department for good.
After all, there is not too much depending on it anymore. Most of the foreign cities are visible. All other infos I compiled are also more or less available in-game if needed.

The turn by turn screenshot-taking and spreadsheet analyzing just takes up too much time.

I am happy to provide my Excel tables if someone wants to take over.

It's certainly your call, and I'm sure we're all thankful for the time you've invested so far.

Question though: if you shut down the department, does that still allow us to track large wonder builds like we did with the Taj?

Yes - it's normally infinitely easier than what we just went through, since PAL was building the wonder in one of the 2 cities on the entire map we don't have line of sight into. We can track builds just by watching the Sabotage Production cost on the Espionage screen; any time the number gets up over 100 shields, something big is in the works. And we can still selectively apply our C&D knowledge whenever it is needed, rather than doing every single tiny thing every turn.

mh - great work on all of the C&D stuff. Are you still going to be fiddling with the EPs and encouraging us to build courthouses and the like? Its good to have a spook around for those types of things.

Yes, I will be around for all those kinds of stuff.
Just not doing the full show for each turn. You know, zooming into every foreign city to check on new buildings.

And with most of the data more accessible now (map trading, etc.) we can jump start any C&D activity again since it is no longer that implicit a process.

Build more courthouses! I was actually suggesting that a few turns back purely out of economic reasons.
