Tenochtitlan was founded on hill yes, at the mouth of a short river. Gems Rice Copper Cow and Ele in the fat cross. How nice. Monty's scout found me very early. I went about my business of teching AH and then Masonry for the Great Wall. Somehow I never noticed that Monty was eliminated in 3000 BC. Odd that he dropped of the diplo screen. I didnt find and take the barbarian city of Tenochtitlan until 600BC but it made a great choke point on the continent where I could block out Pacal with a few border pops, and then could take my time expanding across the whole northern part of the continent.
I simply turtled and went for my culture vic. Was never involved in any wars.
